sig 365xl vs glock 43x

sig 365xl vs glock 43x

Sig 365xl Vs Glock 43x - The concealed carry market has never been larger. At this point, we have hundreds of tools to choose from. We've seen the emergence of a new type of concealed-carry weapon. A weapon that is slightly larger than a high-performance pocket pistol and easier to hold. This new type of concealed carry pistol increases the effectiveness of a slim, compact handgun that is easy to carry and can hold ten or more rounds in most situations. SIG Sauer started this new trend with the SIG P365 and the industry quickly followed suit. About a year later, Glock hit us with the redesigned Glock 43X. They took the Glock 43, lengthened the grip to accommodate ten rounds, and produced a pistol that could rival the SIG P365. Is it? This is what we are here to understand today.

What the P365 and Glock 43X Have in Common Before we throw these two pistols at each other, I want to talk about what they have in common.

Sig 365xl Vs Glock 43x

Sig 365xl Vs Glock 43x

Both guns are 9mm traumatic pistols. Both use a half-percussion striker and both are fed from a box magazine. These guns are small, thin and light. Designed to be easy to carry and conceal for everyday use. The Glock 43X and SIG P365 both come from trusted companies with stellar reputations for quality, accuracy, and reliability. SIG and Glock are constantly competing for market share in a crowded market for military, police and civilian procurement. No matter what gun you buy, you will have a great firearm.

Showcase Size When it comes to concealed carry, the size and weight of a firearm make all the difference when it comes to everyday concealed carry. When we look at these two gadgets, small differences can make all the difference when it comes to everyday carry.

The Glock 43X has a slightly longer barrel at 3.41 inches compared to SIG's 3.1 inch barrel. In overall length we see a big difference, and the Glock 43X measures 6.5 inches compared to the P365's 5.8 inches. The Glock also weighs 23.07 ounces compared to the lighter P365 at 17.8 ounces. Overall, the Glock 43X is a larger and heavier firearm. This makes handling and shooting easier. It also has a longer sighting radius, which makes it easier to shoot the gun. However, the SIG's small size makes it easy to carry every day.

Capacity Comparison The great thing about these guns is that they are not much larger than pocket pistols, but they hold 40% more cartridges than a standard pistol. Both rifles come with ten round magazines. Glock 43X magazines are separate from the Glock 43 and Glock 43 extended magazines will not work with them. The main feature of the SIG P365 is the ability to use 12 or even 15 round magazines. These are SIG OEM magazines and allow for a larger capacity than the Glock 43X. These magazines make the gun longer and heavier, but for some, the capacity may be higher.

Ergonomics The ergonomics of the gun are similar. They do not have a manual safety, but SIG does have a separate model with a manual safety designed for Massachusetts. The work environment can be very personal to some people, so this may be something you will have to decide on your own. There are a few things I like about the ergonomics of both rifles, which we will talk about now.

Tfb Review: Mischief Machine Omega P365 Frame The Firearm Blog

Both guns have no serrations, even with the top grips. The original Glock 43 eats into my hand, but the 43X has a much longer beaver tail which I really like. This helps protect my hand and provides more leverage on the gun on recoil. The SIG P365 does not have a longer beaver, but it does not bite the hand. What I like about the P365 is the cutout near the trigger. This allows for a high, comfortable grip for increased control and accuracy. Both rifles have reversible magazine releases. The Glock 43X features the same front and rear lugs as the SIG P365. The tools are also simple and easy to use. Both weapons are easy to control, the weapons are intuitive and easy to shoot.

Precision and Trigger Both rifles are precision pistols. You will have no problem reaching your goal. Which gun is more accurate? In my experience, I find the SIG P365 easier to shoot accurately, especially at longer ranges.

With a recoil of 25 or even 35 yards, I have no problem putting ten rounds in the target box. My Glock 43X and I had spent little time together, but at 35 yards I was struggling to get good balls into the target box. The main reasons are the extremely bad looks that include Glock in their arsenal. The SIG P365’s trigger is also smoother, which helps the gun’s accuracy a bit. The sights on the P365 are amazing and they make it easy to shoot. In terms of speed and accuracy, I found both rifles to be pretty nice when it comes to double tap, Mozambique and other speed-based drills.

Sig 365xl Vs Glock 43x

It features a Glock 43X or nPVD silver finish and comes with Glock plastic factory sights. Comes with round mags and traditional Glock Tupperware. This is a simple pistol.

Glock 19 & Sig P365 Xl For Concealed Carry :: Guns.com

The P365 comes with two round magazines, one clear and one with a pink extension. It also comes with SIG's XRAY3 sights that provide day and night vision. They have a tritium insert in the sights and a green ring around the front sight that includes a nicely sized green insert for quick front sight removal. One of the main features of the SIG P365 is its removable fire control unit and easy switching between frames. Mine is currently housed in a SIG P365 frame from Icarus Precision, which offers slightly more grip for my size 2XL. Being able to swap tires easily is a great concept and I hope to see more of it in the future.

Which one is for you? Both weapons are excellent weapons. Both are incredibly reliable and have the potential to give you an edge as a stealth carrier. I prefer the P365, but if you carry a Glock 43X you are still well armed. The P365 offers more features, and if you want more power. I had no problem holding a gun or trusting my life either. I think the biggest decision will be personal preference. P365 does more for me.

sig 365xl vs glock 19

sig 365xl vs glock 19

Sig 365xl Vs Glock 19 - For a lover of DA/SA autos and sassy revolvers, the Sig P365 XL seems like an odd choice. But I can't deny that this is a great gun. In this review, I look at what I learned about the P365 XL after 2000 rounds and a couple of things that could have been improved.

The Sig Sauer P365 XL is easily the most impressive new pistol I've tested in a long time. Today I want to talk about why it is quickly becoming one of my favorite options for concealed carry.

Sig 365xl Vs Glock 19

Sig 365xl Vs Glock 19

This pistol enters a whole new category of concealed semi-autos. They are not single stack and they are not double stack either. They are somewhere in between.

Sig P365xl Grip Module (wcp365xl), Black, No Manual Safety

Let's go back to the 1990s - the days of the amazing double stack. At the time, a compact pistol was a double-stack full-size pistol with the grip cut off and the slide and barrel shortened slightly. For a subcompact, they just shortened it a bit more. We see perfect examples of this in some of the most popular cars of the time; the compact Glock 19 and the subcompact Glock 26. When every other gun company started making their own polymer pistols in the early 2000s, they followed the same basic template.

Then, a few years ago, the polymer single stack 9mm came along and shook things up. In 2012, the Smith & Wesson Shield wasn't the first, but it was the gun that took the only new battery from niche status to one of the most common types of carry guns in the country. Since then, we've seen dozens of single-stack polymer 9mm pistols come from all corners of the industry. And now we are all sick of them. Especially those of us who have to evaluate and review these things for a living.

In January 2018, Sig Sauer saved us from this endless tedium with something a little different: the P365. It looks like one stack of nuts. It is the same size as one stack of nuts. But somehow they managed to fit ten rounds into this little magazine clown car. The standard single stack 9mm magazine holds 6-8 rounds, but it is not a single stack magazine. The top three or four rounds in the magazine are stacked on top of each other, but then the mags tap out and at the bottom the rounds are stacked as a double stack.

The gun was a huge success. He won all kinds of awards. There were some reliability issues early on, but the worst of them seem to have been resolved after the first year or so. Last May, Sig released a version with an ambidextrous, frame-based manual safety. And last July they released this version: the Sig P365 XL.

Naked Mck Kit

It has the same slim profile as the original P365, but with a longer barrel and slightly longer grip for recessed 12-round magazines. Sig also makes a 15-round extended magazine. It's about 3 ounces heavier than the standard P365 at 26.3 ounces loaded. Most of that extra weight comes from the longer slide and barrel, which is 3.7 inches instead of 3.1. Available with or without a manual safety, this one has a safety. It has the XSeries Direct Trigger, which is only available as an aftermarket upgrade for the original P365, but is standard on the XL. And it also has, as usual, a set of Sig X-RAY3 night sights and a slide that is machined to accept a micro red dot optic.

It's worth asking why I'm interested in this gun in particular, or the P365 in general. I'm happy to carry an expensive muzzleloader most of the time. A glorious single stack with an extra round or two in the magazine doesn't do much for me. If I'm going to seriously consider a carry gun for my personal use, it has to be very easy to shoot, very easy to carry, and it has to meet my personal safety standards. I will return to the first two in a moment. Let me get the safety thing out of the way first. Or maybe "risk management" is a better term.

If you have been watching my videos for a while, you know that for semi-autos, I prefer hammer guns, whether they are double action, double action or single action. I like being able to lock the hammer with your thumb so it is physically impossible to fire the gun while cocked. The Striker control kit available for Glocks is the next best option. It does the same thing as a hammer when you split. A manual safety is a distant third choice, but depending on how it's designed, I'll consider it for a carry gun.

Sig 365xl Vs Glock 19

I do not think that safety is for everyone. I'm especially hesitant to recommend a manual safety for a new shooter or anyone who doesn't practice very regularly. But I'm going to draw and hold a carry gun thousands and thousands of times, both in dry practice and on the range. Every redesign has the potential to be a catastrophic disaster. All it takes is distraction: a short attention span.

Mod1 Sig P365/xl Iwb Kydex Holster System

So, in addition to following best practices for safe gun handling and safe recoil, I like to have at least one additional layer of mechanical safety to mitigate the risk. I especially like it if this extra layer doesn't affect the use of the gun. Whether or not this manual safety is debatable.

I'm going to pour a lot of love on this whole gun and talk about how awesome it is. But this manual safety is not good. It's not terrible at all. It's not like the poor little dot of safety you find as an option on the Smith & Wesson Shield. And it's not as bad as that weird safety on the LCP .22 LR I talked about a couple of weeks ago. It has a good click on and off and is ambidextrous. It could still be so much better. It is not wide enough and should be placed about a quarter of an inch further on the frame.

I don't know why the gun companies keep fighting this. I think it's further evidence that the people who make these design decisions don't fire the guns. There are many examples of good hand safety, so there is no excuse for not knowing what it should look like.

I mentioned the safety of the M&P 22 Compact earlier. This is excellent security. It's not big at all, but it's wide enough that you can put your thumb on it while shooting. When you raise the gun, the thumb knob naturally comes down on top of the safety to fire it. You can't lose it. P365 security is barely big enough to use, and small enough that I miss it on the first try now and again. And if I put my thumb on it, that sharp edge on the back touches my thumb as the gun rises.

Long Term Sig Sauer P365 Review + P365 Xl Reviews

At first this was just annoying, but in a long session, it will cut my thumb a lot. Right now, I have a small blood blister that is under the scar tissue from the first few times it happened. Honestly, I could live with this if the safety was wider and easier to disassemble. Sig, please take some of that sweet money from spending $50 each for these mags and give it to your R&D team so they can fix this security.

The Sig P365 XL's appeal isn't just that it's small and therefore easy to carry. There are many small guns. This gun is small and can be fired. And it's small in a different way than other guns. Let's look at some size comparisons so I can show you what I mean.

Here on the right is the most ubiquitous compact 9mm in the world, the Glock 19. On the left is a single stack Glock 9mm, the Glock 43. Not the smallest 9mm out there, but I think it is among the nine least that is still reasonable. burning

Sig 365xl Vs Glock 19

I'm going to go over those two and line up with the grip tip. This is the top part of the grip where the hand net would go. The 43 obviously has a shorter slide and grip and the trigger reach is also slightly shorter.

Phenom Stealth: Edge Works

If we look at them from the back, the 43 is much thinner. I measured the widest part of the grip, not including the magazine well and it is 0.81 inches for the 43 and 1.31 inches for the 19.

Received the holster today and it exceeded my expectations! Looks great, feels great and fits my glock 43x perfectly.

The holster is great! I found the small construction felt very flimsy to me, even with the shortest strap settings, and I had to do a bit of DIY to tighten it up. Also, I highly recommend buying from here!

The holster is very well made. My airsoft Walther PPK/S (accurate dimensions of the actual gun) fits perfectly in the holster. I use my ppk to hide under my sweater to load my airspace and would recommend it to any James Bond fan!!

This is my second holster from Holsteris and I am not disappointed! It's easy to adjust and adjust the fit and body. I think the previous one would have been tighter and better underarm if I had parted the hair, but this works great and looks great when it's done! Arrived as expected, great customer service from Holsteris as always! I can only recommend these holsters, and I will definitely be buying more when I get more pistols with spares.

Sig 365 Vs Glock 43 - Since the announcement of the new Sig P365 micro compact pistol, I have been anxiously awaiting its arrival. I was lucky enough to operate the gun at the Sig Sauer booth at the SHOT Show, but missed the opportunity to shoot it at Range Day. Apparently Sig Sauer has his own shooting day and is not attending Industry Day at the shooting range. He learned his lesson. Luckily my local gun shop booked my first P365 arrival for me. I've been carrying a single stack Glock 43 since it came on the scene and it's been a joy. Will the new Sig P365 replace my trusty Glock? Due to the similarities between these two excellent guns, I will go into detail and describe the differences.

Specifications* Glock 43 Sig P365

Sig 365 Vs Glock 43

Sig 365 Vs Glock 43

Looking at the above dimensional information, there is no denying that these two guns are strikingly similar. In my opinion, they are what make them stand out; capacity, attractions and price. And let's not forget about the trigger feeling. There are no metrics for this category, but I can say that the standard Sig trigger has a smoother pull and cleaner break than the standard Glock trigger. In fact, more than half of my Glocks have aftermarket triggers for this reason.

Is The Sig Sauer P365 A Glock Killer?

Another notable difference is the attractions. Sig was kind enough to include the XRAY3 day/night scope. With the Glock, you get standard plastic sights for $12. These are important factors to consider when comparing the price difference between micro compact guns.

Dimensionally, the Sig measures 31/32 inches at the magazine well. Where Glock measures 7/8 inch, same place. This slight difference is what Sig engineers used to match the double-stack steel magazine with the polymer grip. The result is a similarly sized pistol that carries 4 more rounds of 9mm than the Glock 43. That said, I still prefer the way the Glock feels in my hand. Although similar in width, the Glock's grip is much larger front and rear, so it fits a little better in my hand. The Sig looks smaller and the grip angle is slightly more perpendicular to the bolt compared to the Glock 43.

The two barrels are 0.29 inches apart and I haven't noticed any measurable difference in defensive shooting with these guns. Let's just say they're not target guns. Sig mentions in the literature that the chamber and cylinder are rated +P. I noticed that the Sig's barrel wall is slightly thicker than the Glock's. But I've been shooting +P defensive ammo in my Glock 43 for years with no problems. Both pistols include a drop-in magazine and a pink extension magazine. The extension does not increase magazine capacity. However, Sig sells a factory +2 extended magazine, which I currently have on order. Holds 12 rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber, which is twice as much as the Glock 43.

While the Glock is a little more comfortable in my hand, I don't think that's a strong enough argument against using the Sig as my new everyday carry. As you can see in the short video below, there is no substitute for capacity. Plus, the trigger and night sights make the P365 a clear winner in my book. Sig has also used a patented rail groove in the frame. Sig Electro Optics is said to be working on a combination of light and laser. My only problem at the moment is finding a nice IWB holster for this new gun. At the time of writing, neither Alien Gear nor Bravo Concealment (my two favorites) offer this. But I found one of the Hazmat holsters I just ordered.
